The next team in was The Three Yahoos on Foxsea and they caught 3 fish but one was under weight. Both the weighable fish were caught by Andrew, putting him in 3rd for the day, so he’s The One Yahoo for the day!
Playmate arrive third with the Philly For Rum team. In typical fashion Kevin managed to find a nice fish, an Almaco Jack which was caught by Eric Hirshberg. It weighed in at 51.4lb making this the largest fish for the day and with Eric’s other fish the high point anglers for the day. His teammates managed to release a fish each making them the high point team for the day
Congratulations!
It wasn’t BAC ‘s (Bermuda Anglers Club) day, they had the fish but couldn’t get them on the line and when they did, they couldn’t keep them on, unless it was a robin, according to David:
“This is not a variation on a double hook rig. We were so bored we resorted to catching the same live bait twice. Kip had this robin out looking for something bigger, and apparently it liked the look of the chunk bait on my line, hence the two hooks in it. :)”
Tomorrow is another day!
Team MP didn’t even bother coming in by boat; Dean and Thad drove down to hand in the forms as they only had releases.
Finally around 5.30pm BWAC (Blue Waters Anglers Club) pulled into the dock on Last Chance with Bobby Lambe as their captain. They actually gave weighmaster Mark Booth something to do with 4 fish to weigh.
Roddy Nesbitt caught 2 and one each for Kirk Dill and Leon Stines. Roddy’s two fish put him in 2nd place for the day and the team overall is in 2nd as well. Congratulations to you all!
This left one final team to arrive and you guessed it... it’s the girls with Neil... team Bait and Switch!
The editor was kindly supplied with these 2 pictures of how they fish, it seems that Cindy Mitchell enjoys laying down on the job while Andrew Marshall lays a hand on Neil McKinney. Was he hoping to keep him from going overboard or the hat from flying off?
They showed up just before 6pm, all smiles! At least there weren’t any bras flying like last year! It turns out Neil is the big man on the team as he got 3 fish, while the girls only got one each.
The first thing Fiona did was find out how her other half, Dean, did and then stole his rum swizzle.
Wearing the same shirts from last night’s meeting, it could get pretty stinky if they insist on another day in them, the team posed for a picture. Their 5 fish placed them 3rd for the day.
Just a reminder that the BBQ is on the dock Tuesday evening, we’ll start serving food around 5pm unless you all find fish and are back later than today.
CONGRATULATIONS to all the new anglers who caught if today and Tight Lines for tomorrow.
