Day 1

With teams now choosing their own boats and able to leave at any time, there is no early morning call for this editor. The weather started off pretty cloudy with some rain showers and moderate winds. The winds didn’t really die down but the sun definitely came out by mid morning. It seems the fish didn’t get the memo to come and play though, except for the sharks.

Reel Lax spent all day looking for bait and then finally got a a fish 15 minutes before the end of fishing. They were back at the dock 40 minutes after lines out. We weren’t quite ready for them so they went off and refueled and came back a half hour later and weighed in their one and only fish caught by Danny.

Welcome Meeting 2014

IMG 0009IMG 0010

This evening we welcomed seven teams to the 49th Annual ILTT graciously hosted at David & Dianne Skinner’s home. After an initial downpour a couple of hours before kick off, it turned out to be a beautiful evening.

As each team now fishes on one boat for the whole tournament I renamed this the Welcome Meeting Tattler instead of the captains meeting. Along with only using 12lb and some new rules, we have also changed the number of fishing days from 4 to 3.
